Nish and his partner Pip were working long hours, commuting back from London. Nish's mum, Roo, had a way of calling at exactly the right moment.
She’d pop a tiffin into their fridge, comforting home cooked food that took the pressure off after a busy day. Friends started asking if she could do one for them too. So she did.
A few things people ask
- A tiffin is a traditional South Asian lunchbox; a stack of steel containers, each holding a different dish. Roo fills ours with freshly cooked food and we deliver them to your door. The following week we collect the empties and swap them for a full set.
- We deliver on Thursdays and Fridays across Brighton, Hove and Sussex. The cut-off for ordering is Tuesday at 6pm. Your tiffin arrives at your door chilled, ready to heat at home whenever you're ready.
- Yes, but a flexible one. You choose weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can pause, skip or cancel from your account at any time. No long-term contracts. You're always in control.
- Neither. Roo's been cooking South Asian food since she was ten; it's made fresh from scratch, with real ingredients and whole spices. And unlike a meal kit, the cooking is already done. No chopping, no recipes, no last-minute panic. Think of it as having a brilliant cook in the family who drops round dinner. Except she does it for the whole neighbourhood.
